"The Goethe-Institut Marokko invites you to the German Film Week from February 8 to 12, 2022 at the art house cinema ""Cinema Rif"" in Casablanca. We offer a varied program of award-winning German feature films from 2019 - 2020. The first German Film Week organized by the Goethe-Institut Marokko in Casablanca is an opportunity for exchange and cultural dialogue with the German film scene. Different themes, which refer to various facets of German society, reflect Germany in all its complexity. From February 8 to 12, 2022, a film will be screened every evening at 20:00 at the Cinema Rif in Casablanca. These five films awarded in 2019 - 2020 are aimed at a varied audience, young and old. They will be screened in the original German version with French subtitles. The social drama ""Benni"" (2019), directed by Nora Fingscheidt, questions the treatment of children who challenge rigid social structures. In ""When Hitler Seized The Pink Rabbit"" (2019), director Caroline Link tells the story of a Jewish family fleeing the Nazis to find a home. The urban tale ""Cleo"" (2019), directed by Erik Schmitt, embarks on a wonderful time travel through Berlin and reveals an unknown face of the city. Experiences of migration and identity in Germany are addressed in Ilker Çatak's ""Parole Donnée"" (2019), a story about a white wedding, hope and love. Mehmet Akif Büyükatalay directed the drama ""Oray"" (2019), which tells the dilemma between his own faith, marked by conservatism, and love for a woman in Germany."
